A local guide to Strawberry Village
Strawberry Village is the open-air shopping center at the Tiburon Boulevard exit off Highway 101, on the Mill Valley side. It has been here since 1964, and most of Southern Marin passes through it at some point in the week. Here is what to know before you come.
Getting here. Take the Tiburon Boulevard / East Blithedale exit from 101 and follow the signs for Strawberry Village. If your map app wants a street address, the center's is 800 Redwood Highway Frontage Road, but that can drop you on the wrong side of the buildings. Search for Lulu Dae's by name instead and you will land at our door, at 802 Strawberry Village.
Parking. The lot is free, and it is big. We are by the Safeway, so if you know where that is, you know where we are.
Where to eat. For açaí bowls, protein smoothies, ahi poke, Spam musubi, iced matcha and soft serve, that is us, open every day from 9am to 7pm. For coffee and pastry, Tartine Bakery is in the center too. If you are feeding a group with different moods, the soft serve and the poke bowl are both on our menu, so nobody has to compromise.
Working out nearby. The center has a lot of fitness studios, including Hot Yoga Republic, Barry's and StretchLab, and the Strawberry Recreation Center is across the lot. That is why our protein smoothies have 25 grams of protein: plenty of people come straight from class.
Walks from here. The Bay Trail at Strawberry Point is ninety seconds from the counter: flat, stroller-friendly and right on the water. If you want more, our five favorite walks nearby are in the post on walks that end in soft serve.
Farmers market and events. Strawberry Village runs a weekly farmers market on Tuesdays, and the plaza in the middle of the center has outdoor seating and hosts events through the year. Check the center's website for the current schedule, and our events page for what is happening around Mill Valley.
Order ahead. If you are on your way home on 101, order online before you leave and your food will be ready when you pull in. Everything is on the full menu.
