Our co-founder Lucia is an avid surfer, an outdoor enthusiast and, in the owners' own words, the princess of musubi. So of course there's musubi on this menu.
If you've been to Hawaii you already know it: a slice of seared Spam on a block of rice, wrapped in a strip of nori so you can eat it with one hand. It's the thing you grab on the way to the beach or after it. It travels well, it's filling, and it takes about four bites.
We make two. Just Spam is the classic, $6. Spam & Baked Scallion Egg adds a layer of egg baked with scallions, $6.50. Both come with a side of our housemade gochujang sesame dipping sauce: a little heat, a lot of savory.
How to eat it: hold it by the nori, dip the end, bite. Don't try to cut it. And if you're wondering why it's next to açaí and soft serve, it's the salty thing a sweet menu needs. A musubi and a Lil' Sis soft serve is a very good lunch.
